W/kg plus realistic climb-time forecasting with headwind + altitude adjustment.

FTP Zones & Race Pace

7-zone training model plus race-specific pacing for road, gravel, crits and TT.

CdA / Aero Time Saver

Compare positions, helmets and wheels. See the actual seconds saved at race speed.

Chain Wear & Replace Timing

Predict remaining chain life based on mileage, conditions and cassette cost.

Gear Ratio Visualizer

Cross-cassette speed vs cadence. Find your dead-spot gears and ideal cruising ratios.

Hydration & Sodium Planner

Hour-by-hour fluid and electrolyte needs with hot-weather warning zones.

Tire Pressure Optimizer

System weight, tire width, surface. Get a starting pressure plus lower/upper bound.

Bike vs Car Carbon Footprint

Commute comparison with food offset, marginal-emission context and what to actually claim.

Climb Difficulty Grader

Beyond the Hors Catégorie 1-4 scale: time estimates at your W/kg and gradient profile.

Ride Comfort Index

Wind chill + humidity + WBGT for the bike. Clothing and hydration recommendations.

Fueling Plan Generator

Hour-by-hour carb + caffeine schedule for races and long fondo events.

Spoke Tension Checker

From rim/tire/wheel spec — predict a target average tension to dial in.

Ride / No-Ride Weather Decider

Forecast input, gets a go/no-go + risk checklist (wind, ice, lightning, visibility).

Bikepacking Weight Budget

Day-by-day weight and resupply planning for multi-day tours.

About RideMath

RideMath started as a personal spreadsheet to answer the kind of questions you actually ask mid-week: "If I drop my bars 2 cm, how much time do I save on Saturday's TT?" or "Is this climb a Cat 3 or a Cat 2?" — but with realistic assumptions, not marketing-grade guesses.

The goal of this site is to give intermediate-to-advanced cyclists a place to run real numbers without signing up, downloading an app, or wading through affiliate-stuffed "best of" articles. Every calculator is self-contained: the calculation runs entirely in your browser, and we don't store any of your inputs.

Most calculators on this site combine a primary computation with two or three realistic extras — a safety cross-check, a "what if" sensitivity, or a sanity chart. The pages aren't meant to replace a coach or a bike fitter; they're meant to help you walk into those conversations more informed.

Who this is for: club riders, racers, bikepackers, commuters, and home mechanics. Who this is not for: pro-team staff (you have better tools) or complete beginners (you should probably book a free intro session with your local shop first).

Disclaimer

The calculators on RideMath are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional coaching, medical advice, bike-fitting services, mechanical training, or legal/tax counsel.

Numbers produced by these tools — FTP zones, predicted climb times, fuel plans, brake distances — are estimates based on simplified physical and physiological models. Real-world outcomes depend on factors we cannot measure from your inputs: wind gusts, road surface, fatigue, equipment condition, weather changes, individual physiology, and your actual training history. Always treat results as a starting point, not a prescription.

RideMath makes no warranty about the accuracy, completeness or fitness-for-purpose of any calculation on this site. Use at your own risk. Ride safely, follow local traffic laws, wear a helmet, and assume that other road users may not see you.
